NEST was initiated by Charlotte Dubois, an architect, artisan, builder, and musician whose practice grew from a desire to work beyond conventional constraints and toward more attentive, intuitive forms of architecture. After years of experience in architectural offices, herfocus gradually shifted toward building processes rooted in observation and presence.
Influenced by John Hardy’s call to reclaim the role of the artist, the work seeks to imagine beyond predefined systems and to create fewer boxes. Travel has played a central role in shaping this practice. Extended journeys through Colombia, Vietnam, Laos, Costa Rica, Egypt, Morocco, and beyond fostered an approach rooted in observation without preconceptions and a continuous questioning of how humans coexist with their surroundings.
Along the way, learning from artisans and from nature itself led to hands-on experience with materials such as earth, straw, and bamboo. Working with bamboo marked a shift from rigid, purely intellectual design toward a more intuitive and material-led process: from straight lines to gentle curves. It embodies slow, mindful making, therapeutic practice that fosters collaboration and meaningful creation.
Through ONE NEST, Charlotte creates spaces that speak to the soul, inviting both silence and gathering. Her aim is to nurture connection, contemplation, and a sense of belonging through architecture that is thoughtful, natural, and alive. As the practice evolves, Charlotte is growing ONE NEST into a collective of multi-talented people. Together, they combine diverse expertise to push the boundaries of regenerative design and artisanal craft

Our mission
Architecture has the power to shape how we feel, behave, and connect, with each other and with the natural world. Every space carries an atmosphere; it can hold us, inspire us, or simply let us breathe. The environments we inhabit influence our inner landscapes.
That is how the idea of NEST was born. The spaces we createcan nurture us, like nests that offer comfort, safety, and inspiration. To bring change, we can start by shaping our homes and collective spaces into places that truly support us. Asking ourselves what we want to cultivate in life, and how our surroundings can become fertile ground for that.
But it is not through words that we convince people that a more wholesome way of living is possible; we must show it through the experience. Let us construct a world of beauty, harmony, and well-being, a world that reflects our dedication to a more wholesome living and, most importantly, our profound commitment to our most vital home: the Earth.
Our vision
We want to live in a world where people can buy homes that match their needs rather than having to find a compromise and settle on the second-best option. That's why we take a lot of time and care in getting to know our clients from the moment they reach out to us and ask for our help.
Our team
Our strength lies in our individuality. Set up by Esther Bryce, the team strives to bring in the best talent in various fields, from architecture to interior design and sales.
